The Foam. . .We start with foam pad fill specifically designed to absorb a higher than normal amount of "g" force. Used by NASA and the astronauts for the same purpose, it is truly amazing stuff. Firm and rigidly shock resistant, yet pliable -- Smacked with a fist, it absorbs the blow, giving only slightly; yet a pressed fingertip will sink slowly and deeply into it before retracting to its original shape. We know of no other company that uses this premium, expensive foam fill in their collars. |

The Cover. . .Sewn by tailors right in our Covina, CA plant, our collars are covered with durable and abrasion-resistant, yet gentle, non-chafing Nylon 420 fabric. The covers are zippered and removable for easy laundering. The fastening strap is YKK Cosmolon Hook & Loop (commonly known as "velcro®") for adjustable and non-restricting fit. |

Note. . .Helmet Collars are designed to hold your racing helmet up off of your neck and to help prevent injury which could result from a hard racing helmet being jammed into your neck or shoulders. Our collars are not designed nor intended to prevent injuries to the neck such as whiplash and the like. Nor do we know of any helmet collar on the market which is able, or even claims to do so.
