Color Perception . . .
Our goal on this page was to present you with a visual idea of the assortment
of vibrant colors you can choose for your Azusa Racewear. Of course, the
color of anything may differ depending upon viewing conditions. Nevertheless,
our aim in presenting the scans of our fabric to the right is to provide
a reasonably accurate presentation of our color line.
Cordura® Plus 1000 vs. Nylon 420
If you've had a chance to look over our "Fabrics"
page, you know that Azusa Racewear offers a choice of two different fabrics:
DuPont Cordura® Plus nylon - 1000/280 denier and Nylon 420. Our line
includes nine colors, each available in either fabric. Since the Nylon
420 has a finer weave, its colors tend to appear "lighter" than
its Cordura® Plus counterpart. Some people prefer the color of the
Nylon because they say it is "brighter" or "shinier."
Some, on the other hand, prefer the Cordura® remarking that the color
is "richer" or "deeper."
Color Mixing
If you choose one of our standard Racing Suits
or Jackets, you are entitled to choose two colors:
the primary suit or jacket color and a chest panel color. (Standard Pants - single color choice). However, as you will
note from our "Options" page, you
may choose to mix our colors in most any manner you wish; e.g., use 3 (or
more) colors and/or choose different colors for our cut pattern pieces.
(Here for basic examples of 3 color mixing.)
